Bad Blogger

Sorry I have been such a terrible blogger lately and haven’t posted a thing.

As you can see from our photos, I was able to book a family session with my favorite photographer, Tanya. She’s based out of Oakhurst, so we took a little drive up there almost three weeks ago. We may have been taking photos all of 35-40 minutes and Breken peed on us 3 times—yes, 3! The boy pees about every 10 minutes. Diapers aren’t cheap, but this boy BLOWS through them!

We’re now on our fourth formula. We started out with a basic Infamil and with Breken’s colic we decided to try a variety and settle on the best candidate (the formula that least irritates his digestive system). Following the basic we tried Similac Alimentum for a week, and then Infamil’s Nutramigen, followed by Infamils Soybee. The Alimentum and Nutramagin were definitely better than the basic formula, but still not great. The soy makes him poop several times a day (far more than the other formulas), so with all the bowel movements, he’s eating far more frequently, and up very frequently during the night to eat, but it seems to make him a bit less fussy/gassy. The past two days have been a little rocky, but overall I believe the soy makes him happier. Sorry for all the poop talk---guess that becomes somewhat of a norm when you have an infant. Yuck!

Kevin has been working a TON as they’re trying to get the hot red Camaro ready for the SEMA show (premier automotive specialty products trade event) in Vegas. He’s also had a couple side jobs keeping him busy, not to mention Breken and I giving him lots to do.

Saturday we went to Strut Your Mutt, a fundraiser for the Madera Animal Shelter and we took both dogs and the baby. Boy that was one heck of an adventure! I think we were NUTS trying to juggle all that, but Remington sure had a good time.

Sunday was our friend Ellie’s birthday bash at the pumpkin patch, where we snapped a few “pumpkiny” photos.

This coming weekend we hope to relax a bit, but I fear our Kevin might have to work. Hopefully he can get some time off to enjoy his baby boy. Saturday night we’ll likely head over to our friends house for Halloween trick-or-treating with the kids. I just love watching the beaming faces of kids on Halloween. This holiday has always been a close second to my favorite (Independence Day). It’s festive and silly, and most of all, a fun, quality family time. Hope you all have a fabulous Halloween!
