Baby Smith Still Snug

Just got done at the doctors office, and there’s no sign he’s arriving anytime soon.

She tried to check my cervix and can barely feel it. The baby’s head is trying to make its way into the pelvic region, but it’s not there yet. They put me on the fetal monitor and he still has a healthy heartbeat and rhythms. Dr. Schill did a quick ultrasound (in the office) to check his amniotic fluid level and make sure he’s still safe, and he is. Apparently we stop producing amniotic fluid at some point, but continue to use it, so it can be used up, but I still have plenty.

I see her again next Monday, at which time if I haven’t had the baby we’ll need to consider induction.

Hope he decides to move this along before then. :)
